Creating Homebrew Content

Homebrew Monsters
Create custom monsters with full stat blocks:
- Go to your campaign → Homebrew → Monsters
- Click New Monster
- Fill in the stat block:
- Name, Size, Type, Alignment
- Armor Class, Hit Points, Speed (walk, fly, swim, etc.)
- Ability Scores (STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, CHA)
- Challenge Rating — XP is auto-calculated from CR
- Saving Throws, Skills, Senses, Languages
- Damage/Condition Immunities
- Traits — passive abilities (e.g., Pack Tactics, Spellcasting)
- Actions — attack and ability descriptions
- Legendary Actions — for boss monsters
Sharing Homebrew Monsters
By default, homebrew monsters are only available in the campaign where they were created. Check Share across all campaigns to make a monster available in your encounter builder for any campaign.
Homebrew Spells
Create custom spells:
- Go to your campaign → Homebrew → Spells
- Click New Spell
- Fill in:
- Name, Level, School
- Casting Time, Range, Duration
- Components (V, S, M) and Material Components description
- Description — the full spell text
- Ritual — whether the spell can be cast as a ritual
- Classes — which classes can learn this spell (comma-separated)
Homebrew Magic Items
Create custom magic items:
- Go to your campaign → Homebrew → Magic Items
- Click New Magic Item
- Fill in:
- Name, Type, Rarity
- Attunement requirement
- Description — properties and effects
Using Homebrew in Play
Your homebrew content appears alongside official content in:
- Encounter Builder — homebrew monsters show up in the monster search
- Compendium browsers — filter to see your homebrew alongside official entries
- Combat Tracker — homebrew monsters have full stat blocks in combat
