Terms of Service

Welcome to Lorekeeper ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using our service at lorekeeperttrpg.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lorekeeper. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's consent.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
  • Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or engage in any form of abuse.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without permission.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.

4. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create on Lorekeeper (characters, campaigns, notes, homebrew content, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your creative works. If you delete your account, we will delete your content within 30 days.

5. Subscription Plans

Lorekeeper offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your access continues through the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

6. Third-Party Content

Lorekeeper includes reference data from the D&D 5th Edition Systems Reference Document (SRD 5.1), which is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. This content is provided for reference purposes. Dungeons & Dragons is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast LLC.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep Lorekeeper available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lorekeeper and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the State of California.
