What is the Campaign Wiki?
The wiki is a campaign-scoped knowledge base where you can write and organize reference pages for your world. Think of it as a private encyclopedia for your campaign — lore, house rules, NPC backstories, location histories, and anything else you want to keep track of.
Creating a Wiki Page
- Go to your campaign and click Wiki in the sidebar
- Click New Page
- Fill in:
- Title — the page name (also becomes the URL slug)
- Category — organize by type: Campaign Lore, Geography, NPCs, Rules, Combat, Spellcasting, Equipment, Conditions, or Character Creation
- Parent Page — optionally nest this page under another page
- Body — write your content using Markdown formatting
- Player Visible — toggle whether players can see this page in the portal
- Click Save
Organizing Pages
Pages can be organized two ways:
- Categories — group pages by topic. The wiki index shows pages grouped under their category headers.
- Parent-Child Hierarchy — nest pages under other pages to create a tree structure. Child pages appear indented under their parent.
Player Visibility
Each wiki page has a Player Visible toggle:
- Visible — players can read this page in the Player Portal under the Wiki tab
- Hidden (default) — only the DM and Co-DMs can see the page
This lets you keep spoiler-free lore visible to players while hiding DM-only notes.
Tips
- Use the wiki for house rules so players can reference them during play
- Create location pages with history and secrets — show the overview to players, keep the secrets in a hidden child page
- Write recap summaries as wiki pages for a persistent campaign journal
