Setting Up Discord

Lorekeeper can post session notifications to a Discord channel using webhooks.

Creating a Webhook

  1. In Discord, open your server's Channel Settings for the channel you want notifications in
  2. Go to Integrations → Webhooks
  3. Click New Webhook
  4. Name it (e.g., "Lorekeeper") and optionally set an avatar
  5. Click Copy Webhook URL

Adding the Webhook to Your Campaign

  1. Go to your campaign → Edit Campaign
  2. Paste the webhook URL into the Discord Webhook URL field
  3. Save your campaign

What Gets Posted

Once configured, Lorekeeper sends Discord messages when:

  • A session is logged — automatic notification with session number, title, and summary
  • You share a recap — click the Share to Discord button on any session recap page to post a formatted embed with the session summary, XP awarded, and a link to the full recap

Discord Message Format

Messages appear as rich embeds with:

  • Session number and title
  • Summary text
  • XP awarded
  • Attendee list
  • Link to the public session recap (if shared)

Troubleshooting

  • Messages not appearing? — verify the webhook URL is correct and the webhook hasn't been deleted in Discord
  • Want to change channels? — create a new webhook in the desired channel and update the URL in your campaign settings
