Last updated Mar 18, 2026

Overview

The Party Loot Tracker keeps a shared inventory of all treasure your party finds. The DM adds loot after encounters and sessions, and players can claim items for their characters.

Adding Loot (DM)

  1. Go to your campaign and click Loot in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Item
  3. Fill in:
    • Name — what the item is
    • Type — Currency, Item, Gem, Art Object, Magic Item, or Other
    • Description — optional details
    • Quantity — how many
    • Value (GP) — estimated gold piece value
    • Rarity — for magic items
    • Source Session — which session the loot was found in
  4. Click Add

The item starts in Unclaimed status.

Loot Statuses

Items flow through four statuses:

  • Unclaimed — sitting in the party treasure pile, available for anyone to claim
  • Claimed — a player has claimed this item for their character
  • Distributed — the DM has confirmed distribution (final)
  • Sold — the item was sold, recording the sale price

Claiming Loot (Players)

Players see unclaimed loot in the Player Portal under the Loot tab. To claim an item:

  1. Click the Claim button on an unclaimed item
  2. Select your character from the dropdown
  3. The item moves to Claimed status with your character's name

The DM can return claimed items to the unclaimed pool if needed.

Filtering & Search

Use the status tabs at the top to filter by status. The search bar filters by item name, description, or notes. You can also filter by item type.

Activity Log

Each loot item tracks a history of actions — who added it, who claimed it, when it was distributed or sold. Click an item to view its full activity log.
