Campaign Timeline

What the Timeline Shows

The Campaign Timeline is a read-only chronological view that aggregates events from across your campaign into a single feed. Access it from the Timeline link in your campaign sidebar or "More" menu.

The timeline automatically pulls in:

• Sessions — Each logged session appears with its date, title, and summary
• Story Beats — Key moments from session notes
• Quest Updates — Status changes and update logs from quests
• Arc Milestones — When story arcs start, progress, or conclude

Events are sorted by date, giving you and your players a birds-eye view of the campaign's history.

Adding Custom Timeline Events

DMs can add custom events that don't fit neatly into sessions or quests:

1. Click Add Event on the timeline page
2. Fill in the title, description, and date
3. Click Save

Custom events appear alongside automatic entries in chronological order. Use them for things like "The kingdom declared war" or "Three months of downtime passed."

Editing & Deleting Events

Click Edit on any custom event to update it, or Delete to remove it. Automatic entries (from sessions, quests, arcs) are managed from their respective pages — editing a session's date will update its position on the timeline.
