Inviting Players to Your Campaign
Last updated Apr 5, 2026
Two Ways to Invite
Lorekeeper gives you two methods to bring players into your campaign:
Email Invitations
- Open your campaign and go to the Players section (managed via the Campaign Player Manager)
- Enter the player's email address
- Click Send Invitation
The player receives an email with an accept/decline link. If they don't have a Lorekeeper account yet, the link directs them to register first. Pending invitations show in your player list with a "Pending" badge.
If a player hasn't responded within 48 hours, a follow-up reminder email is sent automatically.
Shareable Join Link
Every campaign has a unique join link you can share anywhere — Discord, group chat, email, etc.
- Open the Players section of your campaign
- Copy the Join Link shown at the top
- Share it with your players
Anyone with the link who is logged in can join the campaign instantly. If you need to invalidate the link (e.g., it was shared publicly by mistake), click Regenerate Link to create a new one. The old link stops working immediately.
Managing Players
Player Roles
Campaign members have one of these roles:
- Player — Standard access: can view campaign content, update their character, and use the player portal
- Co-DM — Can manage content, invite players, and run combats alongside the primary DM
- Spectator — Read-only access to the campaign
Change roles from the player list by clicking the role dropdown next to each member.
Removing Players
Click the remove button next to a player to remove them from the campaign. For pending invitations, this cancels the invitation. Removed players lose access to the campaign portal immediately.
